Our team also engages in the pursuit of new experimental possibilities with upgrades to ALICE. Our activities comprise both ITS3, the upgrade of the three innermost tracking layers for LHC Run 4, and ALICE 3, the next-generation upgrade for LHC Run 5. They span all the range from simulations and performance studies to detector R&D in the laboratory and at test beams.
