I completed my undergraduate studies in Lithuania, my home country, before moving to Germany to pursue a master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich. There, I focused on modeling the transport of cosmic ray antiprotons within our galaxy. Building on this work, I extended my research during my PhD to include cosmic ray antideuterons and antihelium which are a promising probe for indirect dark matter searches. Around this time, I also became a member of the ALICE Collaboration. My second PhD project centered on measuring proton-proton-proton (ppp) and proton-proton-Lambda (ppΛ) correlation functions in pp collisions with ALICE. Although the analysis was constrained by limited statistics, I was able to demonstrate the feasibility of such studies. In collaboration with theorists, we showed that the measured correlation functions could be used to investigate the strong interaction in three-body systems, offering a unique opportunity to explore 3->3 scattering processes, which are not accessible through traditional scattering experiments. During this time, I also implemented three-body software triggers for the Run 3 data taking.
After completing my PhD in 2023, I stayed in Munich for an additional year, where I focused on my role as the team leader for the Time Projection Chamber (TPC) Quality Control (QC) project. I helped in developing the TPC QC framework and contributed to identifying issues in our data reconstruction and Monte Carlo production codes. Since November 2024, I have been a Research Fellow at CERN, continuing my studies on the strong interaction in three-body systems with Run3 data, and also joining the heavy-flavour jet team. Currently, I serve as the coordinator of the Femtoscopy Physics Analysis Group within the Correlations and Flow working group of ALICE.
In my personal time, I enjoy biking along the Jura mountains, engaging in various arts and crafts such as acrylic painting (though with limited skill), creating polymer clay miniatures, and crocheting. I also love taking walks with my cat, Meilė, and traveling.
